How to Measure a Trampoline Mat (Jumping Surface)
When it comes to measuring a trampoline, the shape of the trampoline determines the method you need to follow. Each shape has different types of measurements you need to take before you can go to a sports store on shop online for replacement parts. The most common shapes of trampolines are round, rectangular, and oval, but there are many other shapes around as well.
Round Trampolines
In order to measure the mat of a round trampoline, there are four different measurements you need to take in order to get the correct mat.
1. The diameter of the trampoline frame will need to be measured, which means from one side of the trampoline frame straight across to the other side.
2. The diameter of the fabric of the mat itself will need to be measured, but the v-rings for the springs should not be included.
3. The number of springs will need to be counted.
4. Measure the length of the springs.
Rectangular Trampolines
The measurement for a rectangular trampoline also has four steps to it.
1. Measure the length of the mat.
2. Measure the width of the mat needs to be noted.
3. Count the number of springs along the length.
4. Count the number of springs along the width.
Oval Trampolines
Measuring an oval trampoline mat takes a lot more steps.
1. Measure the frame of the trampoline, which is done by measuring the longest width of the long side and then noting the longest width of the short side.
2. The actual mat of the trampoline needs to be measured the same way.
3. Measure the length of the springs
4. Count the number of springs.
Other Shapes
These can be the most complicated to measure because there are many steps that need to be followed carefully.
1. The frame will have to be measured, and this can be accomplished by measuring diagonally across to the opposite corner of the frame, making to measure from corner to corner. Measure from another corner in the same way to make sure the results are the same.
2. Measure the mat following the same method as you did for the frame. You will also need to measure from one of the flat sides to the opposite side.

How to Measure a Trampoline Net
In order to get the right trampoline net, it is important to measure the diameter of the frame. Next, you want to note the number of poles or arches used on the enclosure for the trampoline. That is all you need to get the right netting for round trampolines.
For other shapes, you need to measure the circumference of the trampoline instead of the diameter.
How to Measure Trampoline Springs
This is another simple measurement that will not take us long at all. First, we measure the length of the spring taken off the trampoline from hook end to hook end.
Next, we count how many springs there are, which we may or may not need, but we will definitely need to know how many needs to be replaced.
How to Measure Trampoline Pads (Spring Cover)
The measurements for a replacement trampoline pad will depend on the shape of the trampoline, just like it was with the mat. The different ways to measure the trampoline for the pads can be broken down in the shapes: round, rectangular, oval, and other shapes.
Round Trampolines
This is the simplest one to measure for a replacement pad. All that is need is the measurement of the diameter of the frame of the trampoline.
Rectangular Trampolines
There are three very simple steps to getting the measurements for this shape of the trampoline for a replacement pad.
First, the width of the frame from outside to outside will need to be noted. Next, the length of the frame from outside to outside will need to be measured.
Lastly, the space from the edge of the frame to the edge of the bed, making sure to do it at the side and not at a corner, will need to be measured.
Oval Trampolines
For this shape, you need to do the same method you did to measure the mat. This means the longest length from the long side and the longest length from the short side.
Other Shapes
For these unique shapes, there are a few simple measurements that will need to be taken.
First, the width of the frame from the outside of one side, not corner, to the outside of the opposite side. Next, the length of one of the flat sides will need to be measured, from one of the corners to the corner.
Lastly, another one of the sides will be measures, and this will have to be repeated if the sides are different lengths.
